 Assistant Aquarist and Life Support Technician

Marineland's Dolphin Conservation Center is looking for a motivated and physically-fit individual to work daytime shifts in its Animal Care Department as an Assistant Aquarist and Life Support Technician. Optimal candidates will be SCUBA certified; have some working knowledge of aquariums and fish care; possess basic mechanical aptitude regarding pumps, motors and valves; and have the ability to lift 50 lbs. This position will be a temporary, part-time position, 4 days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, non-negotiable). Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

•    Assist with water quality testing and record keeping for all water quality

•    Participate in animal habitat maintenance and cleaning, including SCUBA diving

•    Participate as needed in animal medical procedures

•    Participate in non-marine mammal feeds as directed

Compensation: $8.00/hr
